1/12/17 - Year 4 had their final visit to Downpatrick library this morning. The librarian brought us into the Heritage Gallery where we saw maps of Clough and Downpatrick from many years ago. We also saw the microfilm reader-printers that are used to study old-style newspapers. It was very interesting and we would like to thank the staff at Downpatrick library for having us!

22/11/17 - Congratulations to our four prize winners chosen by Mrs Moles and Mrs Gardner for the fantastic hats that they designed during Book Fair week! Your hats were absolutely super and you are all very deserving winners! Well done!

15/11/17 - As part of 'Ditch the Dark' day, we all wore bright clothing to school and were given high-vis jackets to wear. Some of also scooted or cycled to school in order to try and reduce our carbon footprint. We had a great day!

Year 4 had a fantastic time with Fitness Freddy this morning. Some super dance moves were on display by children, parents and grandparents alike! (3/11/17).

In Art, we have been using different materials to create owls from the story 'The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark'. We planned what we were going to do by looking at photographs of owls and creating a circle map to represent our ideas. We then used a range of materials such as wool, sugar paper, chalk pastels and oil pastels to create different textures on our owls. They turned out really well!

Today (20/10/17) Year 4 had their first visit to Downpatrick library. We had a great time learning about the library, hearing a story and then choosing some books to take home with us and read! 📚

Today (26th September 2017) was the European Day of Languages 2017. To celebrate, Year 4 were learning about the country of Italy. We made our own mini pizzas and listened to each other's facts about Italy that we had researched for homework the night before. As we ate our pizzas, Miss Agnew showed us some pictures of her holiday in Italy last year! 🍕🇮🇹

Today in Music we were using our green thinking hat to be creative. We were rehearsing 'The Tortoise Song' and learning about rhythm through the use of percussion instruments (21/09/17).
