Question Matrix

The Question Matrix is used to formulate questions in a current topic. It can be used in any subject and in a variety of different ways. It allows pupils to be challenged at their own pace and it also provides opportunity for personalised learning.  Since using the 'Question Matrix', pupils are asking more deep thinking questions and can engage in more meaningful discussions.

Parents/Carers can use the 'Question Matrix' at home to discuss a child's reading book, to carry out investigate work such as researching a topic and to encourage curiosity!

Remember, any question asked from the bottom right quadrant is a deeper thinking question which will require more thinking when answering, it will generate greater discussion!

Have a go with your child, can they ask a deep thinking question?
