PROOF READING
Year 6 have been proof reading with the help of text from the Hunger Games. They even had the theme tune playing in the background to help with their motivation.
They searched for errors that included spellings, homophones and punctuation.
There was a 2 minute time limit on each piece of text and 10 ‘peeks’ in total, were allowed to help with the learning. Some children managed to complete sections of text with no peeking! Amazing!🤩
NARRATIVE WRITING
We have been looking at CHARACTERS and analysing them in detail. We have also written Thinking Stories where we decided on a character, setting and problem that needed resolved.
PRONOUNS
We have been investigating interactive links to help us learn all about Pronouns. We found some super learning opportunities.

DICTIONARY SKILLS
We have been using our dictionaries to look up word meanings and locate answers. It was a race against the clock! The speed was astounding! Year 6 can find words at super speed. They are awesome! 😀📖
