We were able to explore hundreds using dienes materials. We understand the value of each digit in a three digit number!
Year 3 have been very busy learning how to match analogue and digital times. The boys and girls have been learning how to recognise 'quarter past' and 'quarter to' times on analogue and digital clocks.
The children have been learning how to round numbers up and down to the nearest 10.
We know that if the units digit in a number is 1, 2, 3 or 4, we round down to the nearest 10. If the units digit in a number is 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 we round up to the nearest 10.
