Safe and Sound
We started Year 4 by looking at the topic of safe and sound. We have learnt about keeping safe at home, road safety, bike safety and farm safety.
We carried out an investigation to see which material would be the best to make a helmet. But don't worry we didn't test it out on ourselves, we used a hard boiled egg instead!!
Weather
To begin our new topic of Weather we took part in an online lesson with Museum on the Move. We looked at different paintings and pictures by Northern Irish and Irish artists and discussed the mood and the feelings of the paintings from the weather that was portrayed. We looked at the techniques these artists used and how the started with the horizon line and created a mirror image of the sky and the land or sea. We used this inspiration to create our own images.
