WALT : build and investigate squares using Logo. Year 5 were investigating squares and square shapes. The children were given commands that they would need to use to move. The children tried these practically on the playground first before moving on to the computers and programming an object to move and create squares.
WALT: investigate area. Year 5 have been investigating the area of different shapes within our classroom. They were asked to find the area of a variety of shapes and became creative with their work.
WALT : find fractions of numbers. We have been using a range of methods to help us find fractions of numbers. Our focus has been on dividing and we have been using new vocabulary related to dividing.
Compass points.
Year 5 have been completing practical activities on the 8 compass points. 25.01.18
