Creating Graphs

Year 7 spent the morning collecting data for a frequency graph. Each pupil was given 1 minute to see how many skips they could do in a set time. They recorded everyone’s results using tally marks in their Maths Topic books and generated a bar chart based on the data they gathered. Have a look at the data collection process!

Working with 2D and 3 D Shapes.

Year 7 have been exploring the characteristics of both 3D and 2D shapes, including making tessellating patterns and finding symmetry in 2 D shapes. They have even explored Chinese tangrams. Why not try out the activity yourself? Take the tangram and cut it up. Put the shapes back together again without looking at the original tangram. Then work out what fraction each smaller shape is of the original shape. Have fun. Year 7 did!
