In Art, we used the coloured rice we made during Literacy to design our own Rangoli elephants!

We have loved having Burns Skills School in every Tuesday to learn about invasion games, target and court games and develop our ball handing skills.

11/11/19 - We had a wonderful time from Amy with Wandering Wild Forest Schools today. We toasted marshmallows, heard a story around the campfire, collected leaves and used them to light our very own fires!

8/11/19 - We have started learning about the festival of Diwali as part of our new topic on ‘Celebrations’. During Activity-Based Learning today, we enjoyed making Rangoli art!

6/11/19 - We had an absolutely amazing time visiting the NI Fire and Rescue Service to learn more about the job of a fireman. We got to use the hose, explore inside a fire engine and we even experienced a real call out when the alarms went off and the firefighters had to go and attend to a real fire! A huge thank you to Mr Tormey who organised this for us!

We loved having Action Cancer in to teach us about healthy living. We learnt about the dangers of smoking, how to eat healthily and how to stay safe in the sun!

In PDMU, we developed our Talking and Listening skills as we took it in turns to talk to the rest of the class about an item that is special to us!

To celebrate European Day of Languages in Year 3, we learnt about the country of Italy. We found out some facts about the country, learnt how to say some Italian words and enjoyed making and eating pizza!

We have loved being outside picking blackberries this term! We are very lucky to have Mrs Murray in our class as she is a wonderful cook. She decided to make blackberry pie, blackberry cordial and blackberry ice-cream with the fruit we had picked!

Miss Agnew was very proud of us when we were the first to be awarded class of the week this year!
