Our VE Community Celebrations
Cumran was delighted to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day. We held a community picnic in the grass, we were blessed with such a lovely sunny, warm day! The children were joined by parents, grandparents and other family members, who all enjoyed their picnic! People dressed up, we sang some songs like ‘We’ll meet again’ and cooled off with a delicious ice-cream.
Cumran Community Coffee Morning
Just before Easter, we had a community coffee morning to raise money towards new books in school. It was lovely to see so many people from our local community joining us for coffee, chat, book swap and of chocolate. The children enjoyed completing the Easter Trail with their parents and grandparents and then going on an Easter Egg hunt! The weather was amazing, a beautiful sunny, warm day to find the eggs. We are delighted to announce how we raised over £600 and thank everyone for their support.
