Procedural writing
We were introduced to our new writing focus - procedural writing. To get us thinking about the importance of clear and detailed instructions, Mrs Campbell gave us some instructions for us to follow and draw a picture. Her instructions weren’t clear enough so nobody managed to match her picture! 🤦♀️Some of the children had a go at giving instructions for the class to follow, and they did a much better job than Mrs Campbell 🙈 We also had a go at reading and following a set of instructions to make an origami ice cream. We liked that the instructions were made up of written and picture steps.
