Recycling Workshop

Noel visited our class for a recycling workshop.  He told us about the need to recycle ♻️ to reduce the amounts of rubbish going into landfill sites.  During the workshop, Noel, helped us to make a spaceship from recycled materials.  🚀

Goodnight Spaceman

In music, we listened to Elton John’s  ‘Rocketman’ and Coldplay’s ‘Sky full of stars’.  We are exploring the similarities and differences in these two pieces of music.

Solar System

We have been learning about planets in space.  In ICT we have been learning to use Sway, so we created Planet Factfiles using this software.  We hope you all find out many interesting facts about each of the planets!

Our Planning Board

Year 6 are learning about Extreme Earth.  They are excited to explore how extreme Earth events occur and how deadly these disasters can be.

Our Deadly Disasters Interactive Timeline

We were each given a different event and date to research to find out what happened and the deadly impact which it had.  Next we wrote a short script, found a relevant image on google and used it as a trigger image.  When the videos were recorded using the green screen app, they were uploaded to HP Reveal App.  Anyone using the HP Reveal App scanner can interactive with our amazing timeline and find out lots of fascinating facts!

We are enjoying using our timeline to find out lots of interesting extreme earth facts!
